The Name Hen Long

Many customers often ask what does “Hen Long” mean? It is the founder’s common (nick) name and in Chinese it means “lucky dragon”.

Hen Long Market is a member of the Surrey Board of Trade. We support numerous charitable organizations throughout our community. We strongly identify with the good work of the Red Cross, and we are happy to be regular contributors to efforts made by the Red Cross to alleviate poverty and crisis throughout the world. In addition, every year, we will donate money, time and food to various temples and churches throughout metro-Vancouver.

Scholarship Programs

Hen Long believes in the importance of secondary education. We are pleased to be able to support the Hen Long Market bursaries to four local secondary schools and one fellowship to Kwantlen University. The secondary schools are: Johnson Heights Secondary, North Surrey Secondary, Guildford Park Secondary, Queen Elizabeth Secondary. Students interested in applying for these funds should contact their school for information and submit.
